Life is Showing Me Flames, and I’m Tired
Lately, it feels like everything and everyone is out to get me. No matter what I do, things keep falling apart. I wake up hoping for a better day, but before I even catch my breath, something else goes wrong. I don’t know what lesson life is trying to teach me, but whatever it is, I feel like I’ve been stuck in this class for way too long. And honestly? I’m exhausted.
I keep asking myself—why? What did I do? I am not a bad person. I don’t walk around wishing harm on anyone. Sure, sometimes I vent, sometimes I speak my frustrations out loud. But it’s never from a place of hatred. It’s more like I’m trying to figure things out—like, am I overreacting? Am I the problem? I don’t say things to be cruel; I just need to understand.
But right now, understanding feels impossible. Nothing is making sense. It’s like I’m trapped in a storm with no umbrella, no shelter—just standing there, getting hit from all sides, hoping the rain will stop but watching the clouds get darker instead.
Maybe it’s just a rough season. Maybe life isn’t punishing me, and this is just one of those times when everything happens at once. But knowing that doesn’t make it any easier.
The truth is, I am tired. Tired of feeling like I have to keep fighting. Tired of wondering what I did to deserve this. Tired of second-guessing my own thoughts, my own feelings, my own worth.
But even in the middle of all this, I remind myself: I’ve been through hard times before, and I made it through. Even when it felt like I wouldn’t. Maybe I don’t have all the answers right now, but I do know this—I won’t let life break me. Not today. Not ever.
For now, I’ll take it one breath at a time, one step at a time. And if life is showing me flames, then I’ll just have to find a way to walk through the fire.
